Also known as Fern-leaf Dropwort & Meadowsweet.
Lovely to pick - gorgeous in bouquets. The plants create a low mound or rosette of finely-cut, fernlike leaves, which reach approx. 25cm in height. The plant produces upright 30cm stems of creamy-white flowers in early summer.
Quite tolerant of average to dry soils than most other forms of Filipendula but will always do better with a place in the garden that is moister.
An interesting edging plant, also nice in the border or containers. It is very pretty and pretty tough too.
