In early summer lovely saucer-shaped yellow flowers are enhanced by interesting lance shaped light green leaves that have a fascinating velvet texture
This plant is useful as part of a mixed herbaceous planting scheme or for planting within the dappled shade of trees. It grows up to 1.5 – 2 metres in height.
The flowers are attractive to pollinating insects.
Meconopsis paniculata prefers moist, fertile, well-drained soils. Meconopsis paniculata requires no maintenance. After flowering this plant produces seed pods which may be removed or better still left to drop to naturally to produce more of the this beautiful plant.
