This lovely poppy would have to be one of the most magnificent blue flowers you could have. It is exquisite.
Indulge yourself by growing this. They have a breath-taking effect when planted in groups in the shady garden.
Tall 60-90cm stems bear numerous single clear blue poppies, 8 to 10cm in width with contrasting yellow stamens.
Himalayan Blue poppies are not difficult to grow, but are only suitable for particular sites: the soil needs to be moist but well-drained and rich. They do best in part shade and well sheltered from the winds.
A true collector's plant.
